“Natural”:

Often refers to wires that are non-coated and have a natural metallic finish (silver-gray color).

Unlike aesthetic wires (which are coated white or tooth-colored), “Natural” NiTi wires are just polished metal.

“Round” wires:

Cross-section is circular.

Used mainly in the early stages of orthodontic treatment.

Help with alignment and leveling because they are very gentle and apply continuous, light forces.

Use in Treatment:

First step in braces — these wires help to “untangle” crowded teeth.
